Small groups which meet with faculty members for in-depth study and discussion of particular topics, for example Top-down Control of Marine Populations, Cephalopod Biology & Ecology, Ecology of Modular Organisms, or Marine Research Methods. Appropriate course descriptions are published as seminars are offered; student-initiated topics welcome.

This course is explores a variety of topics in marine biology; and is recommended for all marine biology majors and other interested science majors. Minimum enrollment four students. Graduate students and Seniors are encouraged to suggest topics that will help familiarize them with professional literature related to their Thesis or Senior Project. Lower division students may suggest topics for lower division seminars (MAR 190, 290).
