Grover Schrayer exemplifies the artist-naturalist. He is a diligent student of nature, and is passionate about geysers, ocean life, and astronomy. His art reflects these interests, as well as the influences of Chesley Bonestell (1888-1986) for his speculative realism; and Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) for his use of color.

Brian Farm is an enigmatic individual with a sordid past, a diversity of interests, and a short attention span. He has a strong interest in the outdoors, and a passion for things aquatic. He holds a doctorate in Ecology, and his checkered past includes studies of parrotfishes, African freshwater fishes, and Hawaiian stream fishes.
